Dr. Vanda Corbett, B.Sc, D.C., A.L.C.P, is a 2004 cum laude honors graduate of the "Then Fountainhead of Chiropractic", Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, lowa, U.S.A.
Dr. Vanda Corbett is Canadian and attended the University of Calgary in Canada for pre-admission credits. She is certified with Canadian, American and United Arab Emirates National Chiropractic Boards, and is also an active member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, the Alberta College and Association of Chiropractors and the Chiropractic leadership Alliance. Dr. Vanda was in a successful multi-disciplinary practice in Alberta, Canada with her family before deciding to expand her professional career and move to Dubai in the fall of 2010.
Dr. Vanda Corbett, B.Sc, D.C., A.L.C.P., has known that she wanted to be a chiropractor since the young age of two, except at that time, she wanted to be a "firecracker", being unable to properly pronounce chiropractor. D.r Vanda has been fortunate to be under chiropractic care her entire life. She was born into a family that has always lived by the philosophy of the body having an innate healing ability and how through chiropractic the body is able to release its own healing potential.
Even with having the background of chiropractic in her family, it wa through Dr. Vanda's own personal health challenges that she was able to confirm her decision to become a chiropractor. "I have encountered all types of traditional and alternative means of health care around the world, " Dr. Vanda states, "yet it was my roots, chiropractic, which saved my life. I chose this profession to provide other people the benefits of which I have experienced."
Dr. Vanda's passion is helping families achieve their highest health potential. She currently has patients between the ages of four hours old to 97 years young. Dr. Vanda is well versed in a multitude of chiropractic techniques which allows her to see a wide spectrum of people by utilizing a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Vanda has completed many post - graduate courses specializing in extremities, sports injuries, pediatrics and pre and post pregnancy care for mothers.
One of the most rewarding opportunities that Dr. Vanda has had since becoming a chiropractor is the ability to travel on humanitarian trips around the world. She has volunteered in Nicaragua, Fiji, Brazil and India helping to develop chiropractic clinics to provide care to the world's most disadvantaged. Dr. Vanda affirms, "Every time I visit a country, it is an incredibly humbling experience. The cases and people we see during these trips who are helped through chiropractic care is amazing. It makes all the travel worthwhile."
